The L2 and L3 data come from five separate studies:

• L2A of French stop-liquid clusters (Steele 2001, 2004)
• L2A of French word-final clusters (Steele 1999)
• L2A of French and Spanish obstruent-liquid clusters (Colantoni & Steele 2004-05)
• L3A of French stops, fricatives, and stop-liquid clusters (Steele 2004-09)
• L3A of French stress (Sunara 2008)
